Reading, writing, and creating have been a part of my life ever since I can remember. I wrote my first story at eleven years old and even though it was probably horrible and I cannot even remember what it was about, it’s significant for me. Because that was the beginning of what has been the most wonderful “pastime” of my little universe. My love of writing came from my love of reading. As Stephen King says, “If you don’t have the time to read, you don’t have the tools or the time to write.” No truer words have ever been spoken. If you want to write, then read!
But what else about me? I am married with three beautiful, sassy, and super funny kids. I am also mom to two German Shepherd land sharks and grandma to one crazy little cat who may or not bite your face off on any given day, depending on her current mood.
I have a passion for history and love to write historical fiction, especially. But I’ll write in any genre that takes my fancy, both under my own name and my pen name, Brigid McMahon.
And that’s about it really. Where will my writing take me in the future? I have no idea, but I’m hoping you’ll all come along for the ride. And make sure to bring a good book with you!
